Destination Wedding at Castello Dal Pozzo

Sorena and Connor had fallen in love with Italy and knew they wanted to celebrate their wedding here. But rather than choosing the more familiar and increasingly popular setting of Lake Como, they were looking for somewhere equally iconic, yet less predictable. Their search eventually led Sorena to Castello Dal Pozzo, discovered online while exploring possible Italian destinations.

With a particularly challenging and demanding career, however, Sorena knew that organising a destination wedding from abroad would require professional support. She therefore entrusted the entire planning process to Barbara, founder and wedding planner atSinfonia Wedding. What initially seemed like an almost impossible task — Sorena was concerned that she had started planning too late to find a reliable team of high-quality vendors — was accomplished by Barbara in just a few weeks. She brought together a carefully selected group of professionals, each contributing to the refined and cohesive atmosphere of the celebration.

For the music, Victor Music provided the soundtrack to the day, with Victor himself performing live for the couple during the reception. Heliantus Flower Lab created elegant white and minimalist floral arrangements, designed to enhance the architecture and natural beauty of Castello Dal Pozzo without overwhelming it. And, of course, the wedding photography was entrusted to Click E Chic.

Sorena looked like a true modern princess in her romantic and opulent Hayley Paige gown, purchased from our friends at Kleinfeld. The voluminous silhouette and elaborate details transformed her bridal look into one perfectly suited to the grandeur of the castle.

Meanwhile, Connor got ready with his groomsmen in one of the magnificent suites at Castello Dal Pozzo. As the resort also offers accommodation within the estate, the couple were able to host their guests on site, creating a relaxed destination wedding experience from the very beginning. During the morning, guests enjoyed the beautiful swimming pool and the extensive park surrounding the property before getting ready for the celebration.

Connor then made his way to the garden, where he waited for Sorena and the ceremony to begin. Surrounded by greenery and accompanied by a string duo, the ceremony was intimate and deeply moving, with the elegant setting providing a spectacular natural backdrop for their vows.

Afterwards, guests gathered for the aperitivo while Sorena and Connor took time for their couple portraits and photographs with family and friends. The first dance followed, accompanied by Victor’s saxophone, before everyone moved to the panoramic terrace overlooking the lake for dinner.

As the evening unfolded, delicious courses were interspersed with speeches, music and dancing. The atmosphere gradually became more relaxed and celebratory, with guests enjoying the combination of exceptional food, live music and the extraordinary setting of Castello Dal Pozzo after sunset.

Then came the cake cutting, followed by the final part of the evening: an energetic party that brought everyone onto the dance floor and carried the celebration late into the night.

For Sorena and Connor, Castello Dal Pozzo was not simply the place where they got married. It became the setting for an entire Italian experience — one they could share with the people they had travelled so far to celebrate with.
